SharePlant Rentals was created to solve a simple, frustrating problem in construction and engineering equipment hire:

When you need plant quickly, it’s hard to know what’s actually available nearby.

Contractors end up ringing around. Hire companies field the same calls again and again. Time is lost, jobs stall, and machines still sit idle in yards.

We built SharePlant Rentals to close that gap.

We started where construction pain is highest - short‑notice, local hire - and designed our service around speed, clarity, and practicality.

A note from the founder

I’m Mark Watters, Founder of SharePlant Rentals.

I’ve spent much of my career around construction, engineering, and plant hire - working with contractors, suppliers, and operators who all face the same pressure: keeping jobs moving when timelines are tight and margins matter.

One issue kept coming up again and again, particularly with local hire:

When a machine is needed quickly, nobody can say with confidence what’s actually available nearby - only what might be.

Contractors lose time chasing answers. Hire companies handle endless availability calls while machines still sit idle. The problem isn’t lack of plant - it’s lack of visibility.

SharePlant Rentals wasn’t built to disrupt hire companies or replace relationships that already work. It was built to support them, by showing reality: real machines, real locations, real availability.

We’ve deliberately kept SharePlant Rentals simple and focused. Construction doesn’t need another heavy system - it needs clarity, speed, and tools that fit how work actually happens on site.
